Inspired by the Margaret River Open Art Studios, Perth musician and entertainer Earl Cole picked up a paint brush and started a new creative journey as an artist in mid 2016. Not since childhood had he dabbled in art. Self taught, Earl specialises in realism oil paintings – mostly of Western Australian seascapes and native bird paintings.

Earl held his debut solo exhibition in early 2017. He had a solo exhibition of his seascapes at Boranup Gallery in February and March 2020, his seascapes were also featured in Margaret River Gallery's “Lands Edge” exhibition in July/August 2019 and Gallery Lumino's “Land & Sea” exhibition in August 2018. He has also previously exhibited at the City Of Bayswater Art Awards, Army Art Exhibition, PLC Old Collegians Association art exhibitions and Churchlands Senior High School art exhibitions. Earl's work was also been included in the 2017 City of South Perth Emerging Artists Awards.

He has been commissioned to do a number of paintings including portraits, pet paintings (cats and dogs), seascapes and even an elaborate family crest. Earl's art has been acquired by private collectors throughout Western Australia and also New South Wales and California. His seascapes are hung at the District Court of WA (Perth) and Respiratory West (Wembley). Firetail Winery (Margaret River) have a number of his bird paintings including a commissioned painting of a Firetail.

Earl works out of a home studio in Innaloo. His art can be viewed by appointment.
